Avoiding Frauds
The vast majority of transactions are conducted by honest and sincere parties, but there are always some exceptions. Dishonest people may use a number of methods to defraud someone for money or merchandise. There are some steps you can take to dramatically reduce the chances of being victimized by fraudulent activity. While deception is a very rare occurrence at Verzilla, every transaction should be carefully examined before anything takes place.
Phishing Attempts
Unfortunately, Verzilla is not immune to this common threat found across the net. Beware of any email you receive that is asking you to login or change your password, using the link from within the email you received; these emails will look very similar to the ones you receive from Verzilla. However, they are intended to capture your login information and then access and compromise your account. All emails from Verzilla will be from verzilla.com if the email address does not end "verzilla.com" - then it is not from us, and also we will never ask you for your password.

Shipping damage
The most common problem for buyers is when the product arrives in a condition other than what the seller had described/promised. Sometimes it is a simple matter of oversight on the seller's part, and other times it is an intentional misrepresentation. Here are some common examples and how to avoid them:
You need to carefully view all the photos provided by seller, read description and ask all and any questions you may have if you find that any bits of information are missing; don’t assume anything, instead, try to contact the seller for any clarifications about the product.
After you compelled your order ask the seller about the shipping timeframes and ask to provide a tracking number;

The internet is an anonymous venue, and Verzilla is generally not able to confirm any of the information provided by its users. However, after a user completes the checkout and confirms the address of a credit and finalizes several purchase transactions on Verzilla the user will then have a number of transactions completed displayed in parentheses shown next to his user name visible in Sold product page. This should help a seller to determine if the buyer has been previously buying on Verzilla. In the event of an invalid payment vehicle or a chargeback it is recommended for the seller to check with the payment vehicle company about seller protection. It is also recommended to insure the shipments and add signature confirmation service to all shipments with value over $250.00
If buyer claims the item received is not as described it is recommended for the Seller to resolve the issue with the Buyer by communicating with the Buyer and getting more details in order to rectify the issue or accept a return.

Tax and Shipping
Setting Up Your Tax and Shipping is important as it affects the total cost of the product you are selling. The 'tax' attribute is only applicable for US sales.
For all other countries, please review an international tax policy about more information on a value-added tax (VAT) details when shipping outside of Unites States.
Set up sales tax rates.
To configure tax settings (US only), use product-level tax rates attribute in your product data.
You can access tax rates configuration in the product data.
You have two options in your product tax configuration; under:
- Sales Tax
where you can either leave the Tax box unmarked and not charge Tax in the United States
or
mark this product taxable by checking the checkbox and selecting the applicable state from the drop down menu and specifying the tax (%) for an individual state.
Set your shipping rates.
To configure shipping settings for US or International shipments, use product-level shipping rates attribute in your product data to provide a shipping value for a product.
Your shipping rates are how much you have to charge your buyers to ship their product. For single products, you can use flat-rate shipping or charge an incremental shipping fee when shoppers order more than one product from you.
For more complex shipping rates you can check the applicable carrier Shipping Calculator to set your shipping rates based on order amount (monetary value), order weight, package dimension and product quantity.
