Large Victorian Vanity JEWELRY ornate gilt metal filigree hinged casket footed Box with relief dogwood flowers ~Jeweled with Rhinestones ~BEVELED glass panels throughout~ marked MATSON DAZZLING great QUALITY PIECE !!! This vintage vanity hinged footed box is from around 1940-50's and in beautiful condition, with shiny original gilding that doesn't ever fade or tarnish. It's just gorgeous with rows of applied crystal clear prong set rhinestones. Beautiful pierced filigree designs with relief dogwood blossom flowers and leafs. The gilt metal I believe is brass or some other metal, beautiful gilt plated gold/gilded finish with original gilding and beautiful patina. Clear BEVELED Glass prong set panels throughout the box; Marked Matson USA at the top cover and on the feet; Please see photos, they are part of description, email with questions. Box is in great condition and so is the glass. Rhinestone jeweled are also in great condition, no missing or broken rhinestones. The soft velvet has brass studs on it - and in great condition. There velvet on the bottom also is in great condition.
